Hey guys, i'm new here so not sure how this works.
What are the best guides on here for navigating PIP "how your disability affects you" specifically for ADHD & Depression?
I have an assessment letter for my ADHD which describes my daily work, social and love life as "severely impaired" due to ADHD. I also have quite a severe case of depression which results in me being bed ridden for months on end and not going out/seeing anyone for months at a time.
What are my odds? I figure I might as well give it a shot.
There are plenty of people with conditions such as ADHD and Depression who have successfully applied for PIP and there are those with the condition who have been turned down. The DWP is not so much interested in your condition per se - they are interested in how it impacts on your daily life and/or mobility and whether you meet the PIP criteria.
We have a comprehensive guide to making a PIP claim and that will guide you through each question and suggest how you might answer them. The guide can feel daunting - so just try and tackle one question at a time. (It's the first one on the page) benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/pip
Once you've started filling out you form, if you have any further questions, do come back and ask, and we will try and help.
