PIP Tribunal ? was created by Ferret Whisperer
Hi, I wanted to know ,,, when you send any documents in support of your claim for attention of the Tribunal do DWP automatically get sent a copy as well ?
Or does their involvement cease once you have filed for a Tribunal hearing.
I just wanted to clarify this with B & W.. I'm sure that I recently read that they have no involvement at this point but I cannot remember where I read this.
Thanks for the newsletter I enjoyed reading it,, especially the success stories they made my day.

Hi Ferret Whisperer
Whenever you send in any additional supporting documents to HMCTS, DWP will get a copy of the supporting documents and so will you, the documents will have a number stamped on them, so that they are easily identified at a tribunal.

Thanks Gary, After reading the newsletter today the statistics mentioned and the part that settlements were being made before it got to the tribunal stage made me wonder if it would be worth sending one of the discrepancies that the HP and Decision maker made while doing my claim.
There are a number of other points such as not following Reg 4 and Reg 7, for instance, and a bit of creative writing, total fabrications.
Enough of that,.
Would you send in one of the discrepancies made and mentioning there are several others. Or would you just keep these for the day of the tribunal ?
Could it possibly prompt them to settle on an award before that date is set ?
any comments or advice would be appreciated.
Kind Regards

I would be cautious of quoting the law back to the Tribunal Panel.
As to the "discrepancies", whilst showing the report is deficient is important, you will only get a positive Decision at your trial by showing you meet the criteria for one. Dishing the report may undermine the DWP's case but doing so won't score you points unless you also show why you should have them.
