supporting evidence was created by Judihelensmith
My daughter's PIP award is up for renewal.
She has an emergency care plan for paramedics attending her agreed with her consultant. Can we send a copy of this as supporting evidence? She has a recent clinic letter (Jan 23) that adds detail to that plan and the wording of which provides good evidence of what she will write on the form. Can we send that too? Does she need to speak to her consultant about sending that?
Some categories for which she was awarded points last time have not changed. Do we need to back that up with evidence?
Thanks

Hi Judihelensmith
Welcome to the forum.
You might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is; www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/faq/forum
I would send in any recent supporting documents you have including the care plan but check the care plan before you include it, I came across a care plan a few weeks ago which contained a few phrases which would not have helped the claimant, so we decided not to send it.
Make sure you keep original documents and send in photo copies with name and NINO on each page, I would also number the documents, i.e document 2 of 9 ..... etc
In regards to questions where there is no change in circumstances, the choice is yours but our recommendation is to complete at least a basic explanation of your daughter's limitations even if they have not changed, there is no guarantee that those assessing your daughter will have access to the documentation from her previous review, risking a Decision based on no more than the assessment.
Let us know how you get on.
