Please could you advise me whether a shoe adaptation to correct an imbalance in leg lengths constitutes an 'aid' for the purposes of PIP?

It could be classified as an aid, but if you mention it, be clear about whether it serves its job and makes mobility easier or not. It's all too easy for an assessor to put their own spin on something like that if they don't understand its purpose.
