DRIVING AND COGNITION AND PIP REFUSAL

Hello, My daughter was refused PIP and through out the report the disability assessor references her ability to drive and their belief that as she can drive she can do all the daily living activities without problems ( this is despite her ASC diagnosis) . She scored zero points.

I have read all the information on this site relating to this but i was wondering if any mental health Nurse ,Doctor or psychologist who may monitor this site may be able to tell me the reasons why my daughter can drive but cant use a cooker or washing machine or select appropriate clothing etc…

I hope this doesn't sound like a silly question.

Thank you.

Hi SRW1

Welcome to the forum.

You might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is; www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/faq/forum

There is no such thing as a silly question ;)

Have your read LL26 post on PIP and driving; www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/kunena/10-dla-...8543-pip-and-driving. I pinned it to the top as I thought the post was very well set out.

Lets see what answers you get from fellow members.
