Esa form mistake

Esa form mistake was created by JKH
I have just realised after rereading my esa form (sent already) that I have made a mistake in listing a date. I listed my cardiac arrest as 22.9.23 instead of 22.9.22. Do I need to contact someone to let them know I have made an error? Kicking myself for not spotting it earlier. Will it be a problem? I have enclosed my discharge notes from hospital which do show the correct date. Any advice would be most welcome. Thank you.

Hi JKH

Welcome to the forum.

You might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is; www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/faq/forum

I would not worry to much about it, but for peace of mind you can write to DWP and explain the error, make sure you put your name and NINO on the letter and send it by recorded deliverydo not forget to.

Do keep a copy of the letter, on the back of the letter write the date when the letter was delivered and the name of the person who signed for it.
