Planning and following. was created by Bryando
Hi,
I have been given 10 points for planning and following. However, think I should have been given 12 points.
Been accepted, I need help to maintain safety due to suicidal feelings. They conclude cannot follow a route of an unfamiliar journey without another person safely for the majority of the time.
This taken from Social Security Scotland website:
40.An individual who is actively suicidal or who is at substantial risk of exhibiting
violent behaviour and who needs to be accompanied by another person to
prevent them harming themselves or others when undertaking a journey would
meet this descriptor. Supporting evidence of suicidal thoughts and/or behaviour
should be sought by the case manager. In cases of violent behaviour there must
be evidence that the individual is unable to control their behaviour and that being
accompanied by another person, who can intervene if necessary, reduces a
substantial risk of the person committing a violent act.

I therefore feel as I have suicidal thoughts at times going by the above 12 points should be awarded- any thoughts? Thanks

Hi Bryando
It's inappropriate for us to comment on whether you should have been awarded the higher points. There is nothing to stop you querying it and checking that they have all the evidence they need.
