SDP clarification

Hello

I find the SDP issue when moving onto UC very confusing.

I am on ESA SG with the SDP element and the disability income guarantee. It is possible that I may have to move to a different area so this would be a change of circumstances and would trigger a move to Universal Credit I assume.

I am really not clear if I would loose the SDP and get the 'transitional financial protection' and if so for how long.

Would it be better to voluntarily apply for UC before a move and would that be better financially?

If I don't move is it best to wait and be migrated naturally or is it best to voluntarily apply?

I've had no luck trying to speak to specialist advisers so far.

The wording on the government website is puzzling to me. I would welcome some advice or pointers. Thank you.
