Hi

The only guide i can find t filling in a PIP AR1 form is between pages 128-134 (that's just 6 pages) in the main PIP 2 guide.
Is there any other guidance to a PIP AR1 other than that stated above provided by Benefits and Work service ?
If not i'm a bit unclear to what extent i apply the PIP 2 guide to filling in the AR1 form - any pointers helpful -

thanks

Although the form and the questions are different on the AR1 form, you are still being assessed against the same criteria as before.

Whilst answering "no change" is an option we do not recommend you do so without also explaining why you still meet the criteria as before. Don't assume that anybody assessing you will have documentation from your previous form or that even if they do that they will refer to it.

@Gordon
Thanks - so in that case - if i am repeating / requoting my previous form's answers for any questions where the condition is still 'the same' , will it be okay to 'continue' the answers on extra sheets submitted along side copies of new evidence.
The answer boxes seem much smaller in the AR1 form and so i will have to treat all states : easier/harder/the same - with as much relevent detail you seem to be saying....
cheers

You don't need to go into the same level of detail, my last AR1 probably had about 20% of the content of my original PIP2, the same details just not as verbose.

Extra pages are OK just follow the normal rules, full name and NIN on each page, don't split content between the form and the extra pages and number everything so it's easy to see if anything is missing.

1. @Gordon - where he says "don't split content between the form and the extra pages" - what does that mean ? - it seems impossible not to run each of my answers into extra pages
2. For all my answers to the the 1st section of every question : "Tell us if something has changed and approximatly when" - i want to refer them all to Q3 " Managing and monitoring your condition etc" ....and allow Q3 to carry that explanation rather than write it out each time - is this ok ?
3. Do you recommend sending copies of evidence to the decision maker / office dealing with my claim as well as to the PIP rtn address for AR1s as you do for PIP2 ?

cheers

1. Don't start an answer on the form and end it on an attached page, either have the whole answer on the form or the whole answer on attached pages.

2. It is not something I would recommend.

First, there is a danger that those assessing you will not apply the answer in the way that you intend and secondly, the criteria for each activity are very different and I would be surprised if a single answer is really sufficient.

3. Your AR1 is returned to the DWP so the DM will see it.
