Planning and following journeys assessors report

I agree it looks like I will have to do a MR. I just thought maybe I was going crazy or not understanding something properly.

Still under planning and following journeys I said that on average a couple of times a week I would drive about a mile or two. ( although I have not had a driving license for nearly a year now because my doctors are reluctant to reply to the DVLA about whether I can drive or not) I mentioned that I frequently forget where I am going or how to get there and take two or three wrong turns. I usually end up at my destination but it can take three times longer so to me this is not reliable or to an acceptable standard? Would you agree or do you think that because I end up at my final destination eventually it is not applicable?

The assessor also said because I can use a train I can plan and follow a journey independently. However on my review form I said I only use the train once every three months to travel to my parents who basically act like carers for me . I get the guard to plan and print my journey a couple of days before I go. I then get assistance from the guards on the day and I use my phone as an aid setting the alarm 2 minutes before I have to get off the train as my memory is so poor. In your understanding of this descriptor would you say that I am able to plan follow a route independently?

Hi Gordon,

Setting an alarm as well as asking guards to notify me when I am arriving at my train stop. Would this, in particular the alarm, count as an aid?
