UC Review Form - Get Online ? was created by Niamh
Hello All
Just a quick query. I’m helping a friend on UC who is in the Support Group. A review has been requested by the DWP on 3rd June.
The paper form she has been sent she will not be able to fill in. Her original claim was online.
Has any one heard of being able to request a review form online either through their Universal Credit Journal or phoning the uC helpline ?
If she got an online form it could be typed for her. I can’t fill in the paper form for her because my handwriting is affected by my disabilities
Because of these difficulties I also want to help her ask for an extension. What is the specific regulation to quote when asking for an extension for to return a review form ?
I’ve read the UC members general guide and can’t find it. To be honest that could be my mistake as I’ve been skipping through the document trying to find the regulation as a matter of urgency.
Thanks very much
And well done to all the people to the people who reply and moderate the Forum

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Niamh
I think you are talking about a UC50 form in which case contact UC, their contact details will be on any letter they have sent out and explain your friends circumstances, they may even do a home visit to help complete the form.
I did find this form on line, which you can fill out then print off; assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/governm...uc50-interactive.pdf

Thank you very much Gary! That form is exactly what I needed.
Any advice on an extension of time for the review ? My friend has been on UC in the support group for roughly two years. She will struggle to get the review form in within a month from June 3rd. Is there a regulation that states they have to use their discretion to be extend review time. I can’t find it. My friend has learning difficulties Thank You

Hi Niamh
Contact them now and your friend will automatically be given an extension of two weeks to complete the form. If she continues struggling, contact them a second time, but don't wait until the last minute, and ask for a further extension. The second extension is not a given, but I know plenty of people who have been given one.

Hi Niamh
I do not believe that you can get an extension with a work capability assessment form (UC/ESA 50) unlike a PIP assessment form.
