Recent PIP telephone Review and result

I don't usually write reviews and post messages but after using the advise and support on this excellent website I feel I need to relate my experience to give hope to people going through a PIP ordeal.

I have been receiving the standard rate of PIP for mobility and day to day care, I felt as though I deserved to be considered for the advanced rate due to my Illnesses. I was required to complete a PIP review form Sept 22 and was then informed of a telephone review on 31 May 2023.

I was very anxious and the telephone review lasted 55 minutes (as this site suggested I recorded my call for me to listen too afterwards. As per this sites advice I asked for the written report -telephoned DWP 3 days later).

I received the report and some of the questions my answers were different from what I said, some were okay and some important answers were not recorded.

I have just received a phone call (26 June 2023) from the DWP decision maker informing me they are moving me onto the enhanced rate for both care and mobility, also my claim will be backdated to last September when I completed the review form.

I feel extremely lucky and relieved and I suppose my point is this, use resources such as this web site, I have struggled with PIP, medicals, interviews etc. for many years. Please seek help if you don't know how to fill in any benefit forms and never give up.

I am saying I did not receive any form of payment from this web site. I did all of this work by referring to the advice and information provided.
