Hi mods
Followed advice posted special delivery before xmas 2023 and come Tuesday, 12 3 2024, it will be 65 DWP working days without any response from ESA allied to my claim for backpayments etc. Got evidence it was signed for etc.

Sent all evidence etc and made several copies etc.

I'm unable to manage phoning them due to my neurodiversity disability preventing it.

Any positive advice as to my next course of action..

Hi Dalglish60,

From reading this, I'd say you've 2 options in my personal opinion.

1/ Just sit back and wait till they eventually contact you by letter.
or
2/ Ask somebody (if you can) to call the DWP helpline (then maybes put your phone on loudspeaker) and ask if they can provide you with a possible update for your case?

I know it can be very difficult if you aren't able to get any help.

Sorry I couldn't provide you with any information that may be of further help - these are just ideas from the top of my head that I thought may be able to assist you.

Regards, Chris.

Hi Mods
Sent supporting evidence royal mail special delivery 12/12/'23 for backdated SDP due to my previous ESA (SG) IR explaining PIP award and the qualifying dates etc. Requested IS10 SDP form.

Saturday just gone, 11/5/2024, DWP IS10 application form finally arrived in the post referencing my supporting documents I sent to them from my previous ESA qualifying dates and PIP award. Have to send back by 7/6/'24.

Weirdly it has the usual Wolverhampton post handling site on it but geographically it begins with ESA Llanelli.....when my ESA office address was in the North East. Its printed on 2 sheets as well as the 2nd class envelope they enclose.

So 2 questions:
as I meet the 3 necessary qualifying criteria, will the backpay that I'm owed when paid be classed as Income and subject to scrutiny as I get full state pension, small occupational monthly pension, small monthly pension credit (with SDP still missing) and PIP.

Guess I should follow the ESA south wales address as per printed on the IS10 form?

thanks

Any back payment should be disregarded for 52 weeks and will then become capital after that.

If there is an address on the IS10 then that is the address to use.

Hi Mods
Got my SDP backpay lump sum in June 2024 this year.

Would be grateful if you could interpret what is meant by the 52 weeks period etc with reference to the below reply as I have diagnosed Dyscalculia (its a form of mathematical dyslexia)

You advise any back payment should be disregarded for 52 weeks and will then become capital after that.

Think what I'm trying to say is come June 2025 does it/will it be scrutinized at that point by the DWP in any way and what form would that take given I get current receipt of full state pension, small occupational monthly pension, small monthly pension credit with SDP and monthly PIP. The latter being awarded until 2033.

Sorry if it sounds confusing but I'd just appreciate a bit more clarity if possible.
