Thanks Bis, Yes 6 points were given for using appropriate aids for washing and bathing, dressing and undressing and preparing food, 2 for each activity.
I made it perfectly clear in my pip 2 form and my MR that although I am able to use appropriate aids for washing and bathing and dressing and undressing, I am unable to use appropriate aids for preparing food due to lack of strength and grip in my hands including the safety aspect of trying to complete this activity and that I should have been awarded 4 points for this activity as I need assistance but don’t always get it. I have made it clear why I have lack of strength and grip and my GP has confirmed this in a letter. I will fight back in my appeal and let you know the outcome.

Hi Joany58
Follow BIS's post as it has some very good pointer, remember it's the why you need an aid, that claimant miss out.

Hi. Just wanted to let you know my good news! My lodged appeal never actually went as far as the appeal, I had a phone call offering standard daily living (which was all I was hoping for) I accepted and they lapsed the appeal.
I currently receive guaranteed pension credit, I am over state pension age (I applied for Pip before reaching SPA)
Am I right in thinking there is a premium which can be added to my pension credit? and if so do I have to apply or is it automatically added?
I also want to thank everyone at B&W for all your help and advice, I was considering giving up when they upheld the original decision at the MR stage but so glad I continued to fight on. Thank you so much.

Hi Joany58
Congratulations on your award, it must have taken a weight of your shoulders.
Depending on your circumstances (i.e single or partner in receipt of an applicable benefit) you may be eligible for a Severe Disability Premium (SDP) with your pension credit worth £81.50 per week.
The premium should be backdated to the date your PIP was awarded from. Wait until you get your letter from PIP which tells you of your award and from when it will be paid, once you have this information, as you are already in receipt of Guarantee Pension Credit contact the Pension Credit help line 0800 731 0469, inform them you have been awarded PIP daily living component and the date from when it was awarded from.
