Brilliant Anji!
And I so hope someone with equal sense looks at my pending appeal. I don't have the level of complaint about the assessment that you do, nor one for a different benefit to compare it with, but I feel, like so many, that I made all the salient points about the errors in the PA4 and decision making in my MR. Only to have a stupid MR 'decision' consisting wholly of definitions of descriptors. [as if claimants didn't already know those by the time they got that far]
may it be long before you have to endure this again. The worry for us PIP parents is what may happen to our adult children when we are no longer here to advocate for them. I just hope our other adult child will be able to pick that up if needed.
Best wishes,
Denby

Thank you so much everyone. I appreciate all your kind thoughts. We had the cancellation email from the tribunal this morning, which means I didn't dream it after all!!

BIS, thanks for everything!! I am definitely going to complain to capita as they wrote the report that the DWP based all their decision making on and, as you know, it was badly written and full of errors and inconsistencies. The ADHD clinic wrote their long support letter for the MR so it was the DWP who ignored it as part of the MR process. This was despite it very clearly correcting the (very obvious) error in one of their previous letters that the HP based her entire report on.

Denby - thanks so much and keep going!! Our MR decision letter was exactly the same as yours, and I used that as part of the basis for the appeal. The letter was pretty much all cut and paste, the only personalised thing apart from his name was the date of the original decision. There was no indication that they had read any of the additional evidence, including the letter from the clinic. There was no evidence as to how they had weighed up all the information and why they had taken the word of the HP (a pharmacist) over clinical psychologists, GPs, ADHD nurse specialists, family etc. They did not mention why they had ignored the, very important, correction from the clinic etc. etc. So, keep going!!!

Bud, Wendy Woo, Blueberry Owl and KABTT - thank you so much for your continued support and thank you for being happy for our success. I will continue to follow everyone's journey on here and support others where I can. Someone referred to the forum as a "family" the other day, and I really do feel that you have all been here with us through the stages, the ups and downs, and your help and support has been sooooo important to me 😊

Thanks so much Donna

Also, yesterday, with a somewhat renewed vigour, I made a complaint to Capita pointing out the 45 inaccuracies and errors in the short report they had written. As this formed the basis for the DWP decision making it has caused untold stress and anxiety.

As one of the things the assessor wrote in every section was 'the claimant did not report significant functions with this activity in their questionnaire or the consultation', I also sent the original application to show that we did report significant functional problems in almost every area. Hopefully they will contrast that with what the assessor wrote.

Not sure they can do much apart from apologise, but still...even an acknowledgement of how poor it was would be something.

Thanks
Anji
