Replied by Ginger Blue on topic DWP phoning me 4 weeks after SSCS1?
Thank you both for your previous detailed replies.
Thank you too for suggesting I request the PA4 from the spring.
The nurse who telephoned me for the medical assessment recommended some lower levels of award, including the change in how far I can walk (which has resulted in me dropping from enhanced to standard for mobility).
In the past month I had a long arranged appointment with a new consultant (after my old one retired, the reason why I think I had the telephone medical assessment). Her post-appointment letter included a few lines which would be good medical evidence. How and when do I submit this?
I also now have a current report from a new physiotherapist. How and when do I submit this medical evidence?
And finally, does anyone now why the DWP called me yesterday? A lady asked if it was a good time for a quick chat. I honestly told her I wasn’t feeling well and how I’d just told my Mum I needed to go to bed. She implied it would only be a quick chat to check details but agreed as I was ill to ring back on Friday morning.
After my MRN request the DWP decision maker rang me and asked me about my walking when I didn’t know it was going to happen and didn’t have my notes to hand. I did quite well but didn’t give the strongest answer I could have. I wasn’t a member of your forum then!
Best wishes to everyone helping me.

Hi Ginger Blue
Any additional evidence should be sent to HMCTS by recorded delivery.
You should have been sent a confirmation letter by HMCTS to say they have received your SSCS1 form with a reference number, use the reference number on any additional information.
When you send any additional supporting information, you will be sent a copy with page numbers on, DWP will also be sent a copy of your additional information.

The DWP tribunal appeals case manager rang me with the offer of a new award at my previous level and I accepted.
In her words ‘you shouldn’t have your award reduced if you’re largely the same, just a little worse’.
Very pleased I don’t have to go through the stress of tribunal.
Thanks to everyone who took the time to write replies. I appreciate it 🙂

Hi Ginger Blue
I'm so glad to hear that the DWP backtracked and gave you a new award at your previous level. Many congratulations.
