UC and AET - what counts as total pay

Hi

I have a commitment review telephone appointment tomorrow. This was probably triggered by my earnings going down. I get UC and also receive PIP.

My basic income per month is above the AET of £892. However, I joined a local government pension scheme when starting work. This reduces my income by £50 each month, so my net income is below AET level. Can you please confirm if DWP is considering my total gross pay for AET purposes or my net pay?

I have tried contacting CAB for advice but they had no information.

Many thanks

Raf

Hi Raf78

I'm sorry, but your question is outside the remit of this forum, and I don't know the answer. I tried to see if it was on the government website, but I couldn't see the answer and can't even think where else to look for it. All you can do is ask them. www.gov.uk/guidance/universal-credit-and...0assessment%20period.

I added my total salary on my UC account as new payment. A few hours later, the telephone appointment was cancelled.

Hi Raf78,

The AET is based on your gross pay.
