JSA instead of the usual ESA in bank statements

Hi, I checked keep my bank account today and noticed that instead of ESA the DWP payment said JSA with the usual amount. I sent my PIP review forms back to them about 4 or 5 months ago and have not heard anything back from them. Obviously I am stressed about this especially since there seems to be a new categorisation (JSA). The only other change is that I applied for my pension which is due to start in February.

I am rather confused by this and wonder whether someone might know of a possible reason for this change of ESA to JSA.

I also wonder whether other people experienced months long delays from sending back the PIP paperwork and not hearing anything back .

With many thanks and kind regards advance!

Hi Cinta,

I would not worry as ESA and JSA are interchangeable on the DWP automated payments system.

A lot of members of the BenefitsandWork forum have experienced long delays with PIP.
