Contributions ESA/ UC top up migration query was created by Lilillannant
Hi, I recently posted to say about my migration experience. I’ve just become aware that I’m on contributions ESA with UC top up. I’ve migrated in terms of U , and signed a claimants commitment electronically. I told them about reg 19 and said that my migration status of being in support group should go with me. I’m waiting for my award decision.

My last housing benefit has been paid, and my tax credits have a small overpayment because they didn’t stop them immediately. My contributions based ESA amount has continued to be paid.

I have just recent’s letter to say my contributions based ESA will change to New style ESA and that they will write to me to arrange an assessment in person or over telephone and I need to sign a claimants commitment and I might need to provide a fit note.

I’ve already been through this once with the universal credit migration.

Should I be having to do all this twice? Do I have to provide do tord notes etc to go from contributions to new style ESA?

This is too much doing it in several places. Funding it hard to cope with just one place.

Thanks

Hi Lilillannant,

You won't have to provide Fit Notes.
You could send a UC Journal message to the Work Coach requesting that your New Style ESA claimant commitment be arranged over the phone. Remember to mention that you are currently in the ESA Support Group.
