I returned the ESA50 form several months ago. I haven't heard back as yet. I'm receiving ESA.
I've subsequently experienced a decline in my mental health issues. Can I submit this new information for consideration? I don't have evidence at this point.
How should I go about submitting this new information?
The beginning of the ESA50 form " About this form " states the following - " • only send us copies of medical or other information you already have. Do not ask or pay for new information or send us original documents. " It also repeats the above on Page 23 of the form. The next page collects information regarding cancer prognosis which obviously could change rapidly over a period of months. If your health condition though has changed to such an extent that you would request a paper based assessment. Then it would be advisable to contact the DWP as soon as possible. It is not going to harm your cause by sending in new information but personally I always send documents fully tracked so I'm sure of their arrival. This will cost you a few £s more but at Xmas time I would prefer the assurance that the post will not be mislaid.
