LCW entitlement on PIP lower rate care

I've been migrated to UC from disability working tax credits. I also get PIP lower rate care. I've been asked to complete a UC50 form but am wondering if I actually need to. Does my PIP automatically entitle me to be in the LCW group? I'm not looking to be placed in the LCWRA as I work 16 hours a week.

Hi Lucas,

Receiving PIP makes no difference technically to your UC - however, I do know some people who have been placed in LCWRA after receiving the higher rate of PIP. I am in the LCW group myself, and had an uphill struggle to be placed in this, despite claiming PIP before it. The assessors were not accurate at all.

Chris.
