ESA to UC migtation, correct ESA rates was created by ScotD23
Hi apologies if questions seem basic but we're a bit older and look after our son and struggle to get our heads round it all. We have about a week to deadline to submit migration for income supported ESA to UC following letter.
He has been on ESA and PIP daily living only since 2015.
We can't seem to locate much of the old letters/paperwork but are certain he is in work related group - though this has only ever amounted to once a year going to a meeting and seeing he still isn't any better. We are certain from memory there is an enhanced severe disability award on this (if that applies to ESA - we cant find the last letters) , which probably was related to the award of PIP.
His PIP has recently automatically transferred to Adult disability and is paid as before.
We did call citizens advisce and they gave us a current benefits calculation which was quite in excess of his current payments, they suggested we recheck this with DWP and ask for an extension, though it seems a bit close to deadline for this and we think they based it on support group when he is work group. But also aware these things can only be corrected before migration, especially if any backdated error.
SO basically questions are
1. Does this award payment seem correct ? for Inc related ESA and PIP daily living, he currently gets
ESA : payment ref is DWP EESA £415.90 every 2 weeks EE (enhanced Employment Support ?)
PIP : payment ref is SSS ADP monthly + £290.60 every month, as ESA is enhanced presumably this should also be the enhanced, there seems to be a correlation between those,
2. If not should we request check from dwp and an extension for migration? Or should we ask DWP and PIP to confirm the current awards?
The last point is all his original conditions from the award are still there and worse, and he now has additional chronic conditions we are listing on the migration, we are presuming this would not be treated as not previously notified change of circumstances.
Many thanks

Hi ScotD23,
From the information you have provideded the ESA calculation of £90.50 + £35.95 + £81.50 makes the sum of £415.90 per fortnight which is the sum you refer to. I have not had training in the Scottish ADP but like PIP it is unaffected by Managed Migration.
Are you using the Citizens Advice Help to Claim service ? If you are, they have their own Transitional Protection calculator.
Let me know how you get on.
David
