Submitted Universal Credit claim. How long till UC interview?

Hello,

I was sent a migration letter to Universal Credit.

I submitted my claim to UC online.
UC payment should take about 5 weeks to arrive.

However, unless I am mistaken, I think we are to get a Universal Credit Interview before the 1st UC payment.

If that is so, I am wondering how long it takes on average, before I get my UC interview.
(I was also thinking of asking an advance when I spoke to the interviewer rather than asking for an advance online)

I appreciate your kind help.
Thank you.
Best wishes.

Hi VIA

What is your interview about? Is there anything on your UC account to explain such as a To Do or Journal entry?

Hello David,

Theres is no entry at all in my to do list.
I submitted all the information ID, proof of housing costs, address.

I thought that everyone that submitted their claim to UC online would have an interview either in person or on the phone, something I was not looking forward to.

It looks like I wrongly assumed every single person that submits their claim to UC, had to have an interview, as it seemed from the forum, some of our fellow members were requested to do an interview either in person or on the phone.
It seems I was mistaken.
Hopefully then I will be transferred to Universal Credit without being asked to do an interview and they will pay me the money CAB advice to claim said I should get.

Many thanks David.
Best wishes.
