Hi Trossard

Your fears are not unfounded. I have a family member with a serious mental illness, which includes psychotic episodes, and I perfectly understand when you have psychosis in the family, it is something you fear yourself. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise!

Research this:

Human Rights Act 1998: Protects your right to refuse medication, but there are exceptions under certain circumstances.

Mental Capacity Act 2005: Allows for medication to be administered without consent if you're assessed as lacking the capacity to make decisions about your treatment.

Mental Health Act 1983: Allows for treatment without consent if you're detained under specific sections of the Act.

These laws provide a framework to ensure that your rights are protected while also allowing for necessary medical treatment in certain situations. Either way DWP cannot force anyone to to take medication particularly if they are in fear of it. Your GP will conform this, i'd give them a quick call.

Well it's not that I expect the DWP to literally force me to take medication. I just expect them to claim I don't have a good enough reason for not taking it, allowing them to give me 0 points on most activities.
