UC was created by Littlelady
Hi my son has moderate learning difficulties and autism also suffers with depression. Has health problems too. I want to know where does he stand when it’s his turn to be migrated to UC. I deal with all my son’s financial matters and his aunt who is his carer who deals with any day to day issues he may have, also to break down letters in easy format so that he can try and understand. I am concerned that other people like my son are being forced to do this online. My son will not make sense of it . Is there another way or is if for everyone despite whether they understand it or not

Hi Littlelady

Welcome to the forum.

You might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is; www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/faq/forum.

UC is digital by default but DWP do have visiting officers who can help claimants make a claim, when your son receive his migration letter to contact either UC helpline or Citizens Advice Help to Claim service?

Here is a description from one of our members about CA Help to Claim service
