Mandatory reconsideration outcome granted standard Daily living but not Mobility was created by Moghul
Hi,
I submitted a PIP mandatory reconsideration, and the outcome was that I was awarded the standard daily living allowance. Still, my mobility remained the same, with nothing (only 4 points) granted. I had submitted medical reports and scans that showed I have hip bursitis, a groin hernia, and bursitis of the foot, all on the left side. On my original application, I stated that I was unable to walk more than 13 meters, after which I started to experience pain in the foot and hip with increasing severity. The decision maker responded by saying that I could walk between 50 meters and 200 meters and awarded me 4 points for mobility and 4 points for daily living. I submitted a mandatory reconsideration. On the 13th week, I received a call out of the blue from the decision maker who asked me if I wished to add anything else to my application. and asked if I had been on a hospital stay or out of the country, to which I replied "No." Then the decision maker informed me that any award would be backdated to the start of the original application, and that was the end of the conversation. It was very brief, and I didn't understand what the call was other than if I wished to add anything further. I received the latter stating that I have been awarded a standard daily living allowance and for mobility, the decision maker believed that I can walk between 20 and 50 meters, despite having submitted for the mandatory reconsideration a scan report showing I have hip bursitis and a groin hernia, and previous medical reports showing that I have foot bursitis which are all on the left side. The points for Mobility have remained the same at 4 which is disappointing, and how the decision maker has decided that I can walk between 20 and 50 meters is baffling to me.

Hi Moghul,
I would start the proceedings onto the next stage - a tribunal, and explain that you're not happy with the outcome and explain your reasons why.
Chris.

Hi moghul
I am going though the same situation myself at the moment, I put in for a MR sent all new and point changing information and got a call from the case manager and was asked a few questions and was told the decision would be made that day and I would get a letter in a week later, got no letter so I phoned and was told no decision was made.
The stress is triggering my anxiety and depression.
