My companion applied for PIP in August 2023 and was NOT granted any award. They received 6 points for Daily Living and 0 for mobility.
We had the tribunal the other day (March 2025!) and rightly received the maximum award - enhanced for both Daily Living and Mobility. 21 points for Daily Living and 12 for mobility.
It goes to show, YOU HAVE TO FIGHT! The tribunal panel are so compassionate and understanding, and they’re completely objective and separate from the DWP, so if you get declined, KEEP PUSHING! The wait IS long; it IS stressful, but it’s only made worse if you give up! YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE by staying in the tribunal queue, and the 60-minute (maximum) hearing is absorbing worth it!
THANK YOU to EVERYONE here for being an unbelievable support! Without this forum, we would have nothing.

Many congratulations to both of you on winning the Tribunal. I'm glad to hear your companion had a good experience because not all Tribunal panels are sympathetic.
Well done!
