Exactly what options are available on the online ID option as it seems some on the list are online, and some on the list are fallback so to speak, ID options.
If I have understood, passport current ok online, P60 , I have not understood, whether DWP accept P60U, online?
I'm assuming then it's a prompt process online, so if P60U is accepted, and credit check , would that meet required online?
What is the purpose here in rechecking identity of long term disabled with lifelong conditions ???
My state pension letter arrived at same time of migration for my son, both from DWP, so they have my information, and, my son's. It's cart before the horse because they are requiring me to do this, they wrote to me. And yet they are causing distress.

Hi Rosemary60
Unfortunately, we can't answer why they have chosen to do this as they have, but I assume they think it is a way that they can get rid of any duplicate claimants.

I agree with you, it would be common sense to be able to update i-d details if need be, like passports and driving licenses. But that isn’t the case with this. Having to reapply into a new system, I feel it’s a waste of time and resources too. I have not approached DWP or MP about this, as not sure I would get a satisfactory answer. The general feeling seems to be, it is about cost saving overall as a consequence of making the process more complex, and confusing etc.

I truly hope everyone gets a simple and positive journey.
