esa - query about dates increase ltr was created by headabovethewater
I wonder if anyone can any shed light, I reread my updated rates letter dated 13th feb. I am in support group, cb esa

It says the new rate 140.55 applies from
10th Apr to 26th Nov 25

does this mean i am due an assesment after this date?

also i qualified for esa partly due to double incontinence, affected weekly, will this be stopped under the proposed new changes?
thank you for any help i struggle with all the terminologies.

Hi headabovethewater

The new rate your quote for ESA after April 2025 is correct.
I have no idea when your next assessment will be though probably not for a couple of years at least as there is a 5 year backlog and as far as I know incontinence is not a priority condition. Keep reading the News section of BenefitsandWork for the latest information.

my uprating letter this year also said november, think it's something to do with xmas bonus, from memory all my esa uprating letters over the last 5 or six years or so have said november, i have not been reassessed since about 2018, confused me at first, still a bit confused but i don't think it effects your claim, hope this helps

Thank you so much for replying, I've only been on it, and in support group for just over a year. All this stuff in the news isn't helping 😕
