PIP assessment tomorrow morning was created by Ennyl
Is anyone available to help with PIP telephone assessment tomorrow morning please? Had my first assessment in 21 and was awarded standard award on both elements. Submitted a review last May and had a txt to say I have another full assessment over the phone tomorrow morning. My condition is muscular skeletal. TIA

Hi Ennyl
I'm sorry, but there is no service here to support people with telephone assessments. I hope they gave you seven days notice for your assessment. You should ask them to record the assessment, and if you have the ability, record it yourself.
If you haven't already check out the Guide to PIP claims and Reviews (page 180 onwards) to see what sort of questions you could be asked.

ok thanks. Just to clarify I didnt want someone to actually support me with the call. I just wanted any advice on whats important to put across. Ive been advised by my GP to look into getting some aids for myself but there are sites that say these can make you lose points.
Im finding it a minefield trying to access pertinent advice that isnt conflicted on other websites.

Hi Ennyl
Okay - sorry for misunderstanding. Do have a look at the guide before tomorrow. Many members have found the information in there useful. Be aware that the assessor may throw you a curveball eg a question you are not expecting. Don't rush to answer it - take a drink of water or say you need a moment's break so you don't get caught out. They will likely ask you the same question in several different ways just to see if you answer is consistent.
If you have mobility issues and they try to ask you about how fast you can walk - don't get tricked into guessing unless you know. (Most people have no idea and get it wrong when they guess).
As far as aids are concerned, if you don't currently have any, and that's what you say. If they ask you if your doctor has recommended any you can tell them the answer - however, do emphasise that your doctor can't say how much they will help.
