Hi everyone,
Ive migrated to uc from esa, went fairly smoothly apart from the surprising discovery my esa was made up of both IR and CB.
I had an unexpected phone call yesterday from universal credit asking me about my mum, who is my carer, although doesnt claim any benefits for caring for me. They said it was to do with SDP and TP. They asked my mothers details, etc. and said they'd see if i was eligible to get transitional protection. I was already super anxious as my son was unwell and i was waiting for a call back from the gp hence why i answered the phone. I have been looking up about sdp and tp and im confused as to why i was asked about my mum? Sorry if this isnt making sense. is SDP and tp anything to do with who cares for me? my anxiety is through the roof as i dont know what they were even asking as i was so stressed, now im overthinking it all and getting even more anxious.
sorry if this doesnt make much sense,

Hi Mama

You may be eligible for a backpayment of SDP. I would phone the Citizens Advice Help to Claim service. Their phone number is on page 2 of your Migration letter.
Here is a recommendation.
