Hi Noah19
Firstly you will need to request a letter from the DWP stating why they refuse to backdate. Then when you know why, you can devise a Mandatory Reconsideration.

I have asked and they’re saying it was my responsibility to have let them know. I have since been told of a caselaw that it wasn’t my responsibility but theirs. I have seen a response from Gary to someone in similar situation that he said he helps with sdp and backdating. Thank you

Hi Noah19
You will need to provide full details of your circumstances at the time including dates.
Are you referring to the caselaw that I have recently quoted on this Forum ?
