I'm very concerned as to the 4 point criteria for washing. It seems to me after reading many claimants responses on this subject that it doesn't matter how many disabilities a claimant has your not going to get 4 points unless your virtually paralyzed. There doesn't seem to be any information for what PiP accessors use as a guideline. If the 4 point system goes ahead the DWP will have to change the claim questionnaire.
Hi Yorry, There is a lot of uncertainty about the proposed PIP changes, but given that several Labour MPs are threatening to vote against the Bill, it is likely to be changed. Hence it is still not at all clear who will be affected or how. It already seems that achieving anything above 2 points for an aid/appliance is really difficult, even when profound disability is present - this is a trend that started years ago, so I suspect this might continue. However, what will actually happen to the law is totally unclear, and at present it's just a waiting game. Of course as soon as anything concrete is published we'll let you all know.... I hope this helps. LL26
