Hi folks

I am currently working through the migration form for ESA (Support Group) to UC.

Like others (after I did a search of the forum) I remain confused about how to answer "Are you recovering from, receiving or expecting to receive any medical treatment"?

Several of my conditions - physical and a mental health condition - are already diagnosed as 'lifelong'. And so, the only medical treatments I am receiving for them are that I have to constantly wear a medical device, for example, and also have regular update/consultant appointments.

So, I am confused about how to answer this question. Should I just say 'No'? I have already listed the actual conditions in the previous question.

Thanks

Hi RosiePosie,
I believe that this relates to either hospital stays, (any day in hospital automatically counts as not capable of working) convalescence after hospital or treatment, or after illness etc generally, and then any future treatment which could include surgery, but I guess also things like physiotherapy. It could also comprise psychotherapy or other help for mental health problems.
Specific to you, you can put the regular consultant appointments and explain the medical device you need.
Sometimes answers on these forms do get repetitive, don't worry about that, it won't matter if you do mention the same things several times. The forms are designed as 'one size fits all' so repetition is inevitable.

I hope this helps.
