What do I do for overstaying my 4 weeks abroad -under doctors orders ?

I was worried about this too, as my holidays are what I spend my money on.
On the UC Application, there is a box to tick if you have ever stayed abroad for more than 4 weeks in the past year.
Luckily for me, I could tick the 2-4 weeks box.

(I have no intention of telling them the details of any of my holidays however.. )

If I were you, I would tick the ‘over 4 weeks’ box with a full explanation.
It was for medical reasons so I do not think it should count against you.
You can prove everything and it was medically sanctioned.

The UC people (in my experience) are completely inept, so it would be worth your while notifying the ESA people ‘now’. You are covered for 6 months if you are abroad for medical treatment, so I think you should be fine.
This way it will be in your DWP records already and should stop future drama.

I had to phone ESA this week, and they were astonishingly helpful!
This can happen :-)

If they ask why you are informing them late, explain you have lost your support worker, and need help with things.
It’s always best to get ahead of things, and to know more than they do.
Best of luck.
