Hi lynn
If you need to use a stool when preparing food you need to explain why you need to use a stool, the why part is the important part.
If you haven't done so already, have a look at the members guides which give information about all the descriptors, and what to consider. Here's a link;

Hi lynn,
I would point out that you were advised/told to use a stool by a nurse who came to 'assess' you at home. It's the sort of thing that may carry extra weight with an assessor compared to if it was 'just' your own idea.
It doesn't have to be a special 'medical' stool either, I was given credit for using a stool when preparing/cooking food, due to my knee problems, but it is just a tall one we had bought to use at a breakfast bar. Do explain, as Gary says, why, ie the bad back, though if you can add medical descriptions of your back problems that's good too.
best wishes,
Denby
