Hi all, has anyone any experience of using medical marijuana for pain and if so how would it affect UC and PIP awards? I’m concerned that it could be frowned upon and thus negatively impact my award. Appreciate this is a sensitive subject, and people may have very strong opinions either way. For context I have pain from ME, frozen shoulder and long term T1 diabetes. Whilst naproxen, cocodamol etc help the side affects can be rough so am debating giving medical marijuana a try. I believe it’s also available as an oil as well as to smoke, this would suit me better as I’m a non smoker. Thanks.

Have you exhausted all pain management options? For chronic pain there are treatments such as lidocaine infusions, might be worth exploring if there are any treatments available on nhs.
