Hi karenwb9
There are four types of assessments for PIP - paper-based, telephone, video or face-to-face. So you have had an assessment - they have done a paper-based one. Some people request a paper-based assessment and some are given them without a request. Many claimants are relieved if they haven't had to speak to an assessor. You should not be unduly worried - about a quarter of assessments are paper-based. Be aware that they probably won't have done an assessment report. They used to always write a report when they did paper-based reviews, but this hasn't happened since the pandeimic. Some members have put in a subject access request to see if there are any 'notes' on how the decision was reached.
I hope you get the outcome you want.
