Hi Lynz

I am slightly confused as I cannot see how you could keep SDA ( Severe Disablement Allowance ) when you were both in receipt of UC. Maybe you got the SDP Transitional Protection from November 2024 ?

Hi Lynz

If that is the case then the SDP Transitional Protection is supposed to erode with an increase in the UC allowance (including housing). So since November 2024 I expect that is what has happened and the DWP are correct.

Hi Lynz

You obviously were unaware of the downside of having a UC Transitional Element. Lots of people are going to be affected in this way by being eligible for extra UC ( such as a new child element ) and then find it's all taken off Transitional Protection.
