I went (I think) from 0 to 8 points across 4 descriptors for daily living at the mandatory reconsideration stage of the award review.
[They had reverted to the previous Tribunal allocation of points based on the argument that there had been no change, and that the review didn't address the tribunal decision, nor supplied any evidence to counter it. The health assessor had also been 'creative', seemingly choosing my driving as a leitmotif for not awarding PIP, when I neither have a driving license nor am insurable.]
It certainly sounds like it. I'm pretty certain 8 points should entitle you to the standard rate. The new 4 point rule from a single daily living activity that was set to into effect June 18th, 2026, has been scrapped as far as I'm aware.
Chris.
