DLA Appeal Tribunal Photo Evidence was created by Helen
Hi Everyone,
My son is waiting to go to Tribunal for DLA. He has Charcot Marie Tooth. Regarding his claim for DLA he has never had a Medical Exam for the DWP so I am wondering if it is ok to send photos of his feet, lower legs & hands to let the Tribunal see the effect the condition has had on them; ie muscle wastage & pes cavus (deformed arches)etc? Any comments would be much appreciated..

Hi
Just to let you know that My son won his Tribunal today without even having to turn up !!! They called him 2 hours before to tell him that they agreed unanimously to award HRM & LRC and would he accept that!!?? The only difference between his initial claim ,the reviews & today was the photos I sent in as additional Tribunal evidence, showing the amount of muscle wastage he has in his legs & feet and of his deformed arches, dont know if this was a part of them deciding in his favour?
Perhaps sending in photos of such problems may help others with their claims?
Many thanks to you all for your help.

Hi helen,
Excellent news and thank you for letting us know. There are undoubtedly circumstances where photos can make a real difference, especially given the fact that tribunals are not allowed to physically examine a claimant - for obvious reasons.
