Hi Everyone, Can I make a new claim for DLA whilst waiting for an appeal? I was turned down in August 2009 & am appealing, I have phoned them today & still no idea of a date! My condition has deteriorated since 1st claiming & my GP thinks I may have heart failure in addition to my other problems. I have been waiting since December for a Cardiology appointment which today has finally come through for next week. Would it be worth me getting a new claim started now or should I wait for the outcome of my appeal?
Hi, Many Thanks for your reply. I will get on the phone straightaway for a form! Do you think I should complete it myself or should I get assistance from a welfare rights officer?
