going out was created by helchis
hi im on IB for depression and anxiety.i go to group therapy and am under the nhs cmht.on my ib50 i put i couldnt go out on on my own.is it ok though to go out on my own if im having a better day which is once a week if lucky i also have to get to group therapy by myself.i read that a person is being interviewed under caution as they where on esa and told the dwp they could not go out and where filmed down the pub reading a newspaper.part of my therapy is to try and get out more even if it once a week and just for a walk up the road to the shop.is this a change of circumstances.i dont think it is as im no better and to get out is a real struggle..i sometimes feel like im being followed or spyed on.what would happen if the dwp thought i was better would they review my benefit or just stop it.

any advise would be great

thanks

Hi Helchis, I dont think you have a problem, I would ask your health team to put something in writing for you to say that going out is part of your treatment. You are allowed to go out on IB and DLA. Please dont worry. (I am not a qualified adviser) Just trying to reassure you. Best wishes.
