ib and child tax credits

Because of the way Tax credits is worked out (either on the previous or the current years income whichever is the lesser figure (within £25K)) Then it may be that there is no overpayment .

You do need calculations done by an advice agency ...take all income docs and HMRC letters with you .

thanks for your info its a great help..child tax credits saying there is an overpayment and thats because my IB info was giving as the wrong amount that why i was concerned

have you really had an overpayment or is there mention of it on the paperwork you are doing for renewal ? wait till you get the award notice and not provisional award notices

look up section 29(4) of the tax credits act for the answer on repayments and better than yougov read the tax credit manual for all info on repayments
