read all info on here eg the tv trap etc also be aware you could be on camera whilst waiting to go in also take the letter you can download on here with you but dont hand it over till end of medical it asks for copy of report I did this ATOS looked at it with contempt never got report but left letter with them I was given my benefit so really think all the info on here helped me. good luck with tomorrow

I simply 'phoned my local DWP office to request a copy of my IB medical. It arrived within 2 weeks. Re the medical I can only suggest that you tell it as it is but also be aware of the suggestions made on this site. I was not aware that you could be on camera but fromreading the medical report it is clear that your appearance and behaviour are taken into account. eg a friend took me to the appt. therefore I have no problems with social interaction, I "presentened neatly" therefore I care about other people's perception of me. I have no idea what this has to do with my progressive neurological condition. My IB was renewed but only for 1 year. I wish you all the best - I hesitate o say luck as I am unsure luck comes into it

Hi Rachie,

The only sure way to get a copy is to write afterwards asking for one, phoning should work but it does mean you have no evidence you asked if it doesn't turn up.

I have to say I haven't came across people being filmed in Atos waiting rooms for the purpose of providing evidence for their medicals.

Hi Steve,
If claiments are being covertly filmed in waitingrooms before their medicals, without their knowledge or permission, would that put ATOS on shakey ground for denying claiments the right to record their medicals?

Hi,

To the best of my knowledge there is no evidence that claimants are being covertly recorded whilst waiting to see a medical assessor.

If you have evidence or proof that this is happening, then we at B & W will pursue this.

Best wishes.

Jim
