B & W site, would all members please read. was created by Jim Allison BSc, Inst LE, MBIM; MA (Consumer Protection & Social Welfare Law)
Hi All,
Steve Donnison the site owner is away for two weeks with immediate effect on personal business.
Just to let you all know that Steve has delegated the running of the forum in his absence to Crazydiamond and myself, which means we have full authority to act in Steve's absence to delete posts, temporarily suspend membership ( very unlikely) as only a tiny minority of B & W's members create problems.
We also have the authority to contact the webmaster and close down the forums if there is a major problem, with for example the servers crashing regularly. However, with the forum software updated and doubling of memory on the servers, this action would be a last resort measure.
Many thanks for your cooperation and understanding.
Jim

What does the above i.e. "Moved to top by moderator." mean. I've seen it written a few times now and am wondering what it means?

"Moved to top by moderator" means that it is a post of significant importance, and usually accompanied by an exclamation mark highlighted in yellow.
If other subsequent posts supersede in this case the "B & W site, would all members please read" post, and it slips down the forum list, moderators can move it back to the top as and when required, so that it remains highlighted to draw members attention to its content, as will have happened now following this post.
