IB MEDICAL

Hi everyone .
I had a IB medical on 9th June .
As yet i have not herd a word from anybody .
What i would like to no is , can i ring the job centre plus for a copy of --the medical-- i have just had, or do i wait until i get the result then ask??? .
It seems to be a long winded wait , as i 1st sent the IB 50 Form in Sept 09 , then didnt here until june 2010 .
just wondering how long to wait for the medical result .
Its awful having to wait , as thou we dont have to worry about been ill .

Hi,

Yes you can ask for a copy of the report. However in certain areas both Atos and the DWP are 'snowed under' with the weight of IB and ESA claims, reconsiderations and appeals, so as to how long you may have to wait, it can be anyones guess.

A colleague of mine told me only this afternoon of IB50's submitted in May 2009 with nothing heard of since, so it shows how behind they are in some areas.

Hi I filled in my IB50 in May2010 and i've got my medical on 5th July2010,seems they are very quick with me.I'm really worried as last year i failed and had to appeal.I'll let you know how I get on.

just wondering how you got on today with your medical .
its awful isnt it all this worry over the medicals .
Still no news yet for me .

Hi Tilly,sorry for the delay.The medical was ok.My medical didn't involve any physical questions only for mental health.I received a letter from DWP last week telling me that i have passed the medical and have been awarded my claim.In total it took just two months from begining to end.It was a very worrying time and it has caused me more anxiety.I do hope yours will be as successful.
