Request for Information from DWP

Hi Everyone,

I'm just wondering...I sent a request for a copy of my Atos medical report to the DWP over a month ago. Is it usual for it to take this long?

I know that they're snowed under etc etc etc...but I thought that there was a time limit for requests of this kind?

Would you recommend chasing it up by phone?

I have been advised to make a claim for DLA and I thought I should send a copy of the report with the claim form.....providing it's not full of the usual baloney, of course!!

A wait of over a month for a medical report to be sent, would not be unreasonable these days.

There are no time limits for requests of these kind, but a 'phone call to the DWP which handles your claim, would do no harm to expedite matters.

I also sent a request for a copy of my Atos medical report to the DWP. To make sure they received it I posted it special next day delivery. I also telephoned the DWP and advised them what I had done and how long it would take to receive a reply. They told me that once they received my letter they had to reply to me within 7 working days. They did this and I received a copy of my medical report.
