DLA appeal was created by sandieleo
Hello
Won my appeal for DLA at a tribunal on 7th June, 5 weeks ago and have still heard not a dickie bird from our friends at the DWP.
Starting to panic about whether they are taking it to the upper tribunal but I expect I am being paranoid and they just want to make me sweat a bit. Anyone had any experience about how long it can take to contact us after appeals.
Best wishes
Sue

Hi Sue,

It can be a very slow business, many people send the DWP a copy of the short decision notice from the hearing to try to hurry them along a bit.

There is a time limit of one month for asking for full written reasons from the tribunal if the DWP were considering a further appeal and they would normally inform you if they were doing this.

Good luck,

Steve

Dear Steve
Thank you very much for your reply. I did ring them after 3 weeks and they said they had'nt got a reply from the tribunal yet but because its the DWP I take everything they say with a pinch of salt. Will ring them today and will send in a copy of the decision notice if they are still stalling.
Appreciate all the hard work you and your fellow moderators do on our behalf.
Kind regards
Sue
