Income Support appeal won

My son has Type 1 Diabetes which is not controlled as well as it should be (through no fault of his). He received Income Support last year. He had a medical and PCA in December and in February his IS was withdrawn.

I bought the Disability Rights Handbook and we drafted grounds for an appeal. I discovered B&W while we were waiting for the hearing, and the information here made me more confident. His appeal was allowed on Tuesday.

I am hopeful that with the information here about how to prepare for medical assessments that things will go more smoothly in future.

Congratulations on winning your son's appeal - I do know how nerve wracking they can be, especially if it's your first time.

Best of luck with the next medical - as you say, the guides do at least help you to be a bit better prepared.
